The InVision Inventory System supports inventory applications on a receive-by-Purchase Order or free counting basis. It includes server software and a handheld application user interface. Driven by a universal middleware interface, the system can interface with any database, via ODBC or higher performance drivers, such as MS SQL Server or Oracle. An innovative store-and-forward capability allows storage of all transactions locally, even when disconnected from a network, and then transparently re-connecting and sending them when the device is in range.
IDCheck is an application that uses the InVision Software iCheckIt™ ActiveX control to decode magnetic stripe and 2D barcode licenses and ID cards. It can be used on any Symbol Technologies, Inc., Windows CE or Pocket PC based handheld computer with a 2D scanner and/or snap on magnetic stripe reader. IDCheck can also be used on a Windows-based PC with a tethered 2D scanner and/or magnetic stripe reader. It supports California DMV magnetic stripe format, AAMVA magnetic stripe and 2D barcode formats, and US Military 2D barcode format.
When an ID is scanned or swiped, the identification number, expiration date, card holder's name, date of birth, age, and address are displayed. The age is prominently displayed for easy viewing and audible and visual cues indicate if an ID has expired or if the cardholder is under age.
The Mobile Sales and Ordering System provides a mobile solution for a sales force that needs to enter sales orders and return items from the field.
The customizable system manages sales orders and returns submissions to an AS/400 mainframe from a mobile sales force with software hosted on handheld devices. The devices have the capability of scanning bar-coded UPCs on customer inventory items.
The system downloads information for customers associated with a salesperson, and the entire list of items and relevant information needed to submit orders and returns. Using this information, the salesperson can look up items by their description or UPC and retrieve the corresponding item information to be used to enter new orders or returns. The system supports keyboard entry and bar code scanning of the item UPCs.
