InVision Software signs on as Symbol ISV Partner

New Symbol PartnerSelect ISV program expands marketplace for
InVision Software to promote and sell software applications

Nesconset, NY - InVision Software today announced that it has formally joined the Symbol Technologies, Inc. PartnerSelect program as an Independent Software Vendor (ISV). The ISV program, just announced by Symbol this month, expands the PartnerSelect program to include software developers, broadening the selection of "shrink-wrapped" or customized software that Symbol's end-user customers can purchase as part of their enterprise mobility solutions.

Years of familiarity with Symbol's mobile devices and software

InVision Software's admission into the program springs from providing years of software engineering support to Symbol. "The partnership between InVision Software and Symbol Technologies has been very positive over the last ten years," stated Joe Spiteri, President and CEO of InVision Software. "InVision Software has been, for a long time, involved with 'front-end' software and low-level driver development for many of Symbol's mobile devices, bar code scanners, and wireless access points. With these years of familiarity with Symbol's products, we have a strong, compelling offering to Symbol's VARs, integrators, and customers - not only the ability to write software applications for them, but also to write those applications to take full advantage of the technologies Symbol incorporates." Increased awareness of services

Outside of Symbol's engineering and product development teams, few have been aware of InVision Software's capabilities. "We've been known inside Symbol's product development team for a long time, but few outside of the development teams have been aware of how we participate in projects with Symbol," Spiteri said. "We're excited about the new PartnerSelect ISV program because it allows us to reach Symbol's channel partners and customer base and provide them with the same value we've been providing to Symbol directly over the past decade.
